Default modeling DEMOREEL 2010

Hey guys!
I wanted to share my Demorel 2010 that I just finished at VFS!
The hunter was crafted for the hunterChallenge at evolve3d.net and won the 3rd place in modeling.

Thanks for checking out my work,
greetings, V

here gordon-v, very interesting works, I like the extreme design on the creature and amount of detail on both character.
I would have some notes if this was posted in the WIP section, but it looks pretty good anyway.

Nice work!

I think you should show texture maps in the reel

Thank you guys for the comments.

PascalR// Im happy you like my work! Oh by any means please give me feedback! I would love to hear you opinion on it. critic is all I need to get better.

EmmCha// Thank you! It was important for me to do my own desing on the characters in my reel.

Billabong// thanks man!!

Tom// I thought about showing texturemaps in my ree. But the only texturemaps that I really could show are the maps for the skinshaders, and those are really not very complex and interesting. All the hardsurface parts are different shaders mixed together with painted 1k alphamasks.

Cool, well I was wondering about the shading of the skin and metal.
The skin spec looks a bit like plastic on both characters and I would add some high frequency details like pores, finer wrinlkles to help break up the spec. And the metal shader I think is using too much diffuse.
Keep it up!

Thumbs up

I really like the design of the characters, execelent execution Gordon...
The Hard surface stuff is very well made and designed.

My compliments...
P.S.: what did you used for render it? I suppose Mental Ray since you use XSI...

Great to see you finally got these finished. Your reel looks most awesome! Going straight into my reference folder.

Good luck on finding work
