Hey Daniel,

I sadly think that's the way it works nowadays on internet!
If you check the ratio views / comments per thread everybody is more or less in the same boat It's really not something to take personally.

I would be glad if you repost your stuff! I may actually have seen it ( being part of the 119 viewers ) but I don't remember.

Thomas

Hi Dan,

Yep I'm in the same boat. I was hoping for some feedback (good or bad) on my thread but I've only had one reply so far from another new member.

For a site called cgfeedback you'd expect at least some feedback or just a word of welcome to a new member!

I've added a few comments in some of the threads but as I'm fairly new to creature design I didn't have much advice to offer.

Hello Paul,

I understand your feeling and yeah it's really painful. It's something I would like we attempt plug the hole but it's very hard: I see two things ( I'm maybe wrong ):

It happens that most of the guys providing a lot of feedback here are usually pro and or students with a very good level. I don't know for the students but I know for sure that the pro are deep buried under a lot of work, especially there last months where a lot of feature film were getting completed.

Sometimes it's very hard to give advice and constructive feedback on beginner work without throwing generic ( But tremendously important ) comments that may seem offending for him. We can take Nathan comments for instance on your very own thread:
**Internal Linking (Single Posts)
It may look like harsh, but I wouldn't really know what to say different. In fact I actually took a grab of your latest image and tried to do an overpaint, I stopped because it was too hard ( for me ) to produce something decent in a short time.
Again we are back to a time issue ( Which is short ), I decided to go back to my very own creature because I'm feeling I won't manage to end it up especially when also having to take care of the family .

Let me know what do you honestly think. I'll redirect that post to Pascal, he may have some comments.

In the meantime I'll try to roam around a bit more!

Cheers,

Thomas

Dan,

I don't know what this board is like, I just joined, but if you repost I'll give you some feedback.

Thanks Thomas, I welcome all constructive feedback I'm fairly thick-skinned (a bit like my creature ) so I don't find it offending at all.

Dan, I'd also add that this competition has been open for quite a long time now so, apart from the Pro's being busy (as Thomas mentioned) I suspect that quite a bit of the initial enthusiasm has evaporated and people are just doing their own thing.
