Hello Paul,
I understand your feeling and yeah it's really painful. It's something I would like we attempt plug the hole but it's very hard: I see two things ( I'm maybe wrong ):
It happens that most of the guys providing a lot of feedback here are usually pro and or students with a very good level. I don't know for the students but I know for sure that the pro are deep buried under a lot of work, especially there last months where a lot of feature film were getting completed.
Sometimes it's very hard to give advice and constructive feedback on beginner work without throwing generic ( But tremendously important ) comments that may seem offending for him. We can take Nathan comments for instance on your very own thread:
It may look like harsh, but I wouldn't really know what to say different. In fact I actually took a grab of your latest image and tried to do an overpaint, I stopped because it was too hard ( for me ) to produce something decent in a short time.
Again we are back to a time issue ( Which is short ), I decided to go back to my very own creature because I'm feeling I won't manage to end it up especially when also having to take care of the family

.
Let me know what do you honestly think. I'll redirect that post to Pascal, he may have some comments.
In the meantime I'll try to roam around a bit more!
Cheers,
Thomas
