Default Fess1001 - Sketchbook

Hi all. I finally decided to start a sketchbook thread. This is mostly to inspire my 3d making, but I'll probably post some of my 2d sketches here as well >_>. Since I have a lot of work that I hardly, or very nearly never showed anywhere, I am going to post a bunch of it here to get things going. It's mostly unfinished, work in progress stuffs, and one more recent sketch that I did while trying out zbrush 4r2. From late 2007 and on to the most recent.

And the recent sketch:

A ton of images, I know, hope it's ok :/

brunosaber - thanks man!

Here's a fairly quick painting that I did yesterday. Keep trying to do these more frequently, but there really isn't any time

Here's a tiny bit of 3d I managed to squeeze in. This was done in 3ds max as possible props for one of my older paintings ('let the healing begin' page 2 or 3 in my illustration + concept art thread). It's supposed to be a hellish hospital, so I'm planning to model a wheelchair, an iv stand, maybe another type of bed, maybe some straps, etc..

//Getting back into max after 6+ years of maya is pretty painful:/ I have no idea why they wouldn't do a preset for maya style navigation..

This guy was more of a character exploration: An old and weathered something-or-other. He's seen it all -- and found it all to be deeply unsatisfactory...

This thing was me messing with dynamesh. Might push it some more design-wise, and re-topo and clean up would also be nice.

Some new sketches from me. I think I'll be moving on to quicker sketches as opposed to several month long projects :/ (although I still have a few of those going). I think it will be more creative, more experimental, but also more unfinished too I guess These were done over a course of 3 days or so, ranging from 15 seconds to about half a day in length.

I've been experimenting with the creative workspace that Android Jones so generously supplied within Painter, and it served as a base for the following sketch. The very first one I did actually produced a pretty interesting (imo) character, but unfortunately Painter crashed and I lost the file. This was the second attempt. I couldn't get anything too awesome out of Painter right away, but I thought there might be a zombie in there somewhere, so I took it to Photoshop -- and lo and behold - a zombie there was! There were also a couple of other things there too, but yeah, hopefully better luck next time >_>
