I noticed that some peoples thread thumbnails get updated with the latest image - is there a way to set that up automatically, or are they updating that thumbnail manually? I looked at the faq but couldn't find anything.

Great work fjg_cgf, very funny composition
For the thumbnails I do it manualy , I don't think it can be done automaticaly, you must remove your first thumbnails in your first post, upload the new instead of the previous.

Default update

Tried more of an autumn season and edited the weightmap to control the trees to provide some sky background for focus. This made the trees seem too thinned out, I'll probably add more of the greener trees back in. Posed the foreground alien (fins are temp) and baby. Added foreground detail... still lots to do.

ps - seems like images aren't posting full rez... not sure if thats something I did wrong or...

looking good man! ... I think you right about trees - need a bit thicker, also the grass would be look more realistic if you'll make it less high, and I'd say there are too many little stones....maybe make it different sizes ?

looking forward for more updates !!

Please use [attachfull] instead of [attach]. It is annoying I know but that's a temporary solution due to a buggy vbulletin update I edited your post
Nice work btw!

One more update (next will be final) Even tho the comp is over, I'm going to finish the image, so these aren't for entry. Feedback still welcome, however!

ok, last one.

[ATTACHFULL]6433[/ATTACHFULL]

There's still a lot I'd fix, but I need to learn a bit more about handling a full environment especially in terms of lighting and other 'global' aspects of an image like this - ambient perspective, scale, etc. I tried to render a depth map, but the trees are just too dense - the render never finished (after 4+ hours).
