What is the best workflow for using Multiple Descriptions on a single mesh?It seem when working with density mask in general i have to add mask for each description using the 3d paint tool . So dose that mean i have to assign a new lambert each time? the 3d paint tool requires a texture map applied to the color channel in the tool attritubes for the selected mesh , and it seems that i have to apply a new shader for each description ,Im not sure how to go along with this .

absorbentghost multiple descriptions is the way to go if the groom is to difficult to use only one... for example a mix of short and long hair...

Have you run across any good workflows for feathers with xGen? Seems that is the "next frontier" for Autodesk to cross with xGen (I bet the Disney in-house version of xGen can do it just fine). Currently I don't think xGen is really capable of it. We've tried several approaches for feathers, all not very successful.

Ornatrix might be an alternative. Haven't tried it, but what I've seen looks promising.

best for feathers is a combination of textured xgen cards... archives and hand modeled feathers...
