That's a cool concept and I really like the lighting in the renders. Great details all over, but I find the front view of the abdominal, chest and clavicle regions a little difficult to understand in the renders. The anatomy of the chest opened up in the concept is impressive! I hope that you post more close ups.

Erin.

Really nice work and really nice light/renders. I agree that the actual figure is nice but because he's so compact it doesn't allow too much room to show off his chest opening. The reference that comes to mind might be Lord Raptor from Darkstalkers. He too has an opening but it reads a bit better because it silhouettes better.

I think its looking cool, particularly the face. I think there's something about some of the proportions that isn't quite as nice in the 3d as it is in the concept. The limbs and the tail feel slightly too big and uniform in their shapes and overwhelm the body a bit. In the concept they seem smaller and the body seems a bit wider.
Is the concept art yours because it looks awesome!

Default Thanks all !!!!

Hi all
It's rainy today at Tokyo.
well, thanks to feedbacking me guys !!

Erin - I'm so glad you like them.
Concerning the set up of lighting and camera, I reference to this tutorial
"Make it look real (With mental ray)" by ISK-86.
So, thanks a lot ISK-86 !
But ! the tutorial is on the ZBcentral. So, I'm sorry Cgfeedback !!

Craig - Thanks to your feedback !!!!
Your feedbacks are always helpful. I agree with you.
The room is small for the chest and his stomach.
And the chest gimmick will be more open with break loose.
So please wait for a while.
And, here is the chest mouth test render in ZB.

Sam - Thank you so much Sam !! I'm glad you like it !!
I agree with you. I have to improve to the silhouette.
But my concept is just concept. At personal work, I always make an adjustment for body balance in 3D field.
Because 2D images are trustless for solid.
Peculiarly, my concept images are very rough
Thanks for the feedback.

Buy the way, here is his equipment test shot which is WIP.

I'm really enjoying the close ups of the chest cavity and the head, thanks! Great stuff! Thanks for the link to the tutorial, I'll check it out.

I agree with Sam about the silhouette. Your concept is powerful and balanced and I would love to see more of those proportions in your model as well. Silhouettes are one of the most important aspects of reading a model for aesthetics and appeal. If you pose it, it will help! Now you're at the fun part.

Erin.
