You have no Idea how many times people have asked me that. I'd love to do it, textures and a great render is really what can make a model stand out, my problem just is, that I got way to many ideas I wan't to build in digital clay. Even when I just keep these quite simple, I only have the time to do few of them.
So basically it boils down to, a choice I've made, that I'd much rather get a bunch of Ideas out, compared to a few with textures and renders.
I hope to do some fully rendered and textured in the future though, I still got 3 years left before I get my bachelor in cg-art, and I expect to learn a lot about texturing and rendering in those 3 years.

No doubt I prefer the freedom of maquettes, but I'd love to do some "final" models as well

Btw, awesome inspiration blog! Its bookmarked

And I even got a new sculpt going, went back to zbrush for this one
