I like the pirate overall, however his arms and fingers are bugging me. Seen from a front view it's like he has 4 arms. I understand you're trying to make him look old and wrinkled around the arms but the overall shapes feel too segmented to the point where it's distracting. For such a cartoony character I am thinking you could probably do without that much definition and realistic detail to avoid that disconnect. The fingers could also use some more definition too but maybe you haven't gone there just yet.

I like the idea, it's got a bit of a One Piece feel to it. Good Luck!
