Meet the Giant Sky Keel or Caelcorina Praegrandis. This floating behemoth is anything but docile. It is a voracious forager, sweeping the ground with its sixticles, looking for anything with a heartbeat. We have even witnessed it heaving a Dimple Backed Vroxel to its probing maw.

Though these giants are too big to make good trophies, we did once set up a handy shelter inside the carapace of a Giant Sky Keel we had happened upon.

Thanks Thomas. I think my biggest challenge is going to be to sell the scale of this thing. All of the animals I am referencing are small, so...

I do hope to turn this into a full picture, so relation to the environment will help.

Spent a little time with composition. Not quite happy yet, it's not dynamic enough but it's a start and I need to get some sleep. There was something about my initial lineup that suggested a large vista, so I am going to run with that. I also want to try to get some of the absurdity of the old safaris in here too. That is one of the things I like about Greg's characters.

Alright, I've grown too attached to my first composition, but I don't think it's working. I don't like the guy right in the middle, but i've painted myself into a corner. This is when I usually get a second pair of eyes. So... weigh in if you have an opinion.
