Hey all,
Finished a design for Evolution Music, It was handed to me after Vitaly Bulgarov couldn't work on it anymore. He created the initial rough Head design, then I fine detailed it and polished it to match my suit design.
It's not really what I would design in my free-time, but it's what the client wanted :)
Entirely sculpted in Z-brush and rendered in Mental Ray.

Thanks all for the kind comments :)
Grandizer - haha, I wasnt keen on it but it was the fastest way to finish it, was my first time ever doing hard-surface work in Z-brush
The reason for the hips are he wanted the suit to have a skinny girly figure, bit weird if you ask me  I guess it's close to being a uni-sex design.

Guess Pascal will have to increase the number of columns for the top row :)
Wicked model mike, I however wouldn't want to be the guy that would have to skin him :)

Great sculpt and render Mike. I was about to comment on the hip but Grandizer already did.
Nice zbrush hard surface details clap
Kel: hehe, it will be for next week top row, but yeah I might consider increasing to five if people keep posting great works like this ;)

wow...totally amazing work. To be totally honest, I love how your works make me second guess if they are 3D/Real, those renders are superb!. Did you use Zb4? no idea how you pulled off some of those hard surface details *bows down*
Yeah! really amazing works as usual!!
I'd like to know the rendering settings with shader.

Thanks all :bouncy:
Kel Solaar - Cheers man, haha I still have to texture him, but I have another job on, so the texture work is on hold for now.
PascalR - Thanks Pascal :) looks like Cg-feedback is really becoming the place to be ;P
vivin - Thanks alot Vivin :beerchug:.
I used Zb4, but you could sculpt this in zb3.l.
You need a lot of alphas to do work like this. I also save my camera views/brush sizes so you can get the line details consistent through out the sculpt.
Also I save the brush intensity I use on certain alphas so they will be the same strength all over.

Ken - Thanks! It's nothing special, the realism comes from the color correction/levels in photoshop more then anything

I love the realism of your renders. Some guys ask me if I can teach them how make a render like Mike Nash.
My answer was easy, why do you ask him? :)
Good job!

PascalR - Thanks for the Plug Pascal :bouncy:
Ballo - Hehe, I guess my renders are making the rounds :)
There isn't much to them at all, just a good scene/material setup.

Hey Mike, realy like your renders and style with exaggerated hips area and sharp details on your models.
I really remember your Dominance War III start sculpture and I liked a lot what you did. I hope to be you and not another Mike from Brisbane, Australia
Cheers,
Sorin
Great sculpt mike, hope to see at least a timelasp of your work flow in future:sw:
wow, looks like alot of work man..
could you maybe explain your workflow of saving cameras and brush sizes some more? i often had difficulties keeping constant size over the model when doing cloth stitches..

Thanks again guys,
Thanks man, but I think you have mistaken me with someone else maybe ?
3mm - Thanks! Here's a rough work-flow break down.

Ulf - All I do is save the camera using zapplink, then save the camera file with my brush and size settings in the name. Example, Bolt Details - Strength-40_Size-10.vws
thanks for the info mike!
