this is something i've been working on here and there over the past 4 or 5 months. I've been moving pretty slow with it, but I've finally gotten a pose and the sculpt to a fairly presentable point. I still have issues to work out with it, but would love to get some fresh eyes on it. crits are welcomed! it initially started off has just a head sculpt but I liked it enough that I decided to do a full body.

Great WIP Peter! I like the pose and anatomy overal feels very natural:thumbsup:
Only some skin folds could look more fleshy using the inflat brush a bit more maybe. The ones at the back on the bent side, you have one sharp fold and then 2 very soft ones right underneath, I would probably soften the bigger and add more volume on the other ones to feel more how the skin compression is ditributed.
I digg the pants folds, planning on using opacity maps for the ripped off bottom part?
Are you using any specific references?
Can't wait for the next update on this one.:beerchug:
Cheers

thanks for the crit pascal

i will modify those skin folds, you're totally right with what you said. I will probably do a little bit of alpha work for the tattering of the pants. as for references, I gathered a bunch of stuff. i really liked some of the design work that had been done for the frankenstein film that de niro was in. i wanted to mix some of that with a bit more of the traditional frankenstein head shape.

i plan on adding a bunch of stitching and lacerations to the body...hopefully I can get some more updates soon

Saw this ages ago on The Area, glad to see you're still going. I think the pose is great. That tugged eye... jeez..horribly gross.

I decided to do a little shader and texture testing on the head to try to get a feel for what i want the body to look like textured. it is a bit soft and washy right now, but i think its on the right track.

cool stuff Peter! Is the sewed skin supposed to be like laser cut? I just thought the skin edges could be less clean, so that the underneath flesh and skin blend a bit more together.

Keep it up!

I've always wondered why, if Frankenstein could build a monster and animate it with new life, why he couldn't have stitched a little neater :) Great job Peter, keep on going.

Nice work Peter, saw this one awhile back on another forum and really liked where you were going with it. Not sure what your inspiration for it is, but I think it would be awesome to see different type body parts integrated in to the creature. Maybe like arms from two different people or different face parts or even eye balls. Like as if Frankenstein really constructed this dude out of spare parts. Look forward to seeing some updates
