Hey guys,
I don't know how many of you are aware i do a podcast. Basically interviewing cg people.
I have just released an episode, which is a chat i had with Danny Williams, former modeller at Blue Sky for 11 years, currently working at ArenaNet on Guildwars 2.
I'm not the best host/interviewer in the world but i thought you would enjoy listening to Danny talk about how he got into cg, NYU, Blue Sky etc. This is part 1 of 2.

That was a great interview. It's always encouraging when artists are able to be transparent about things. Can't wait for part 2!

Thank you guys so much.
I spend a lot of time prepping/researching/scouting.... all the hardware requirements to make sure it records as clear as possible not to mention the editing and post-production process so people like yourselves will enjoy listening to them and draw as much as you can from them (and at the very least have something to listen to while working).
So spreading the word is something ive been trying to do because i will be having more guests on from all sorts of disciplines. In fact im doing an interview this Sunday with a very well-known texture painter.
But im not all about the BIG people, i just like to hear peoples' experiences.
So tell your colleagues or people you think might be interested in these shows/interviews because i know a lot more people would like to listen to them if they knew they were available.
Apart from that, im just really glad you enjoyed the show. (I always thought i was a bit of a loner in that i love listening to interviews, it nice to know im not the only one)

lol, you are not alone, i love all the different podcasts that fxguide do and various others, listening to all your previous shows right now. i find it better to work to than music and you learn stuff at same time!
it would be great if you could get some people from this forum to do an interview with you, lots of awesome talent on here, would love to hear their stories

Glad im not the only one. I too listen to fxguide podcast and animation podcast and VFX Show.
I know ive already listed 3 but there isnt enough especially those that get down to the details.
Maybe i might ask someone from here to be on the show. We'll see. There are a lot of people i would love to interview but i want to have alot of variety also.

I head the first part last weekend and I've been eagerly awaiting this next part.
And I was not disappointed.
For someone like me, who has very (VERY) limited knowledge of the industry, I found this interview really awesome, and I can definitely take some of the things you guys said with me.
So, thanks a bunch for during this ;)

I will be doing my best this sunday to get the leigh van der byl episode out, but i will have to do it on my crappy laptop as im waiting for a PSU for my main PC.
Might take a while.
Also a Zbrush 4 review is in the works so be on the look out for that. Again its in the works, nothing final yet. :)
