I like design, details. Maybe front lighting could be little stronger, but anyway, great character for sure, Richard.

Thanks a lot guys !!!
So sorry, I know I said I will post an animation but actually I can't open the scene anymore. I did it using a very very very old version of Maya, and now when I try to load it, it's crashing ........ :banghead:

cool man awesome design!
What a shame about the animation! I remember seeing this a long time ago, and some of your other work, while I was working with your brother. Amazing, it is still incredible to this day :)

Looks great! I would love to see some pictures of the progress, wireframes, untextured model etc. .. please :)
edit: Oh, just saw your posting, that the maya file is damaged, damn. But you still have a zbrush or mudbox model?

I'll reply for Richard as he is not able to do it now, there was no Zbrush file for this guy, he did all in Maya + hand painted displacement maps in deep paint3d.
As far as I remember he had a bad surprise at some point when realizing deeppaint was saving the maps as jpegs and loosing quality each time the textures were overwritten :)
Great work Ric!! :notWorthy:

I love this creature, great design. The fact it was produced without digital sculpting techniques makes it all the more impressive.

Posting for Richard, a Maya creature rig test he has done a while ago. As far as I remember a lot of the movements were using dynamics but I'll let Richard explain further more:)
Looks great Richard!

I like the second movements of the head, but there's something strange in the feet IMHO...but I'm not an animator...
Great job keep to post...

Thanks Pascal for the post :beerchug:
I'm a terrible animator, and it was suppose to move like a puppet. So I tried to do everything using dynamic ( except for the legs). But there is still a lot of issues, specially the IK on the arms ... And a lots of broken constraints ... the skin is not simulated...etc ...
Anyway, thanks guys for your comments ! :bouncy:
