Hello hello,
first post in this lovely little forum! (thanks Pascal)
Being too busy I only started with this a few days ago, more for a little practice than properly entering here. But then it turned out not too bad so I thought I might as well post it! I got the base-mesh from Jonas - maybe that disqualifies me anyway :D - but in my defense it used to be Arnie so there were a few changes necessary on my part ;).
Anyhow. I started out in Zbrush, then brought it into 3dsmax to do a rough pose. After that I went to mudbox to refine it (the new pose tools are awesome but then doing a full pose I want to have more than one joint).
Then I did the final sculpting and texturing in mudbox. The UVs were not tweaked at all and the whole thing doesn't hold up for a closeup but it was fine for the time and the image I want to make.
I usually hate texturing and this must have been the first time I actually really enjoyed it. Being so lowres anyway I painted everything by hand and it was fun! Wow. So just for that it was all worth the effort :D
So today I'll do as much tweaking as I can to complete the image.. still needs some hair, oh dear. Anyhow. fun fun!
Here's the current render (some cc in ps).
Edit... This is the final entry:
