View Full Version : UV Tiles and naming conventions

I finally figured out how to set up a UV tiling shader in XSI (http://timcrowson.smugmug.com/photos/894578902_Jywy3-O.jpg) and get it to look at multiple image files.

My next challenge is to automate as much of the process as possible. For that I have some questions for people who have used Mudbox or Mari. When these apps export their final texture maps, how much control do you have over the naming convention of the files created? I would hope that the naming convention would reflect the UV coordinates of each tile. If that were the case then automating the shader setup would be much easier back in XSI.

EDIT: nevermind about the Mudbox question, I just got my answer.
