Hi all,

Here's my last creation, my goal was to do a realistic portrait in 3d of a normal perso, and trying to make him look alive.

I think doing cg character is always a challenge it has so many details we have do deal with to make it look real, it's fascinating how the human body is complex and subtil at the same time.

I did it using 3dsmax, rendered with Vray 1.5 sp4 and I used Hairfarm for the hairs.

Hope you like it.

That looks fantastic, especially the eyes and skin. Is the light stubble around the mouth and cheeks hairfarm too, or is that an image map?

As a photographer I'm not so sure about the use of chromatic aberrations in CG, but damn! you're really blurring the lines between real and synthetic here.

Thank's all :)

El Burritoh : Idid with extracting a cavity map for the beard in zbrush, then exporting it into photoshop and tweaking the it there, having some blurried layers etc. But you time I had found a trick to get something similar in hairfarm, by accident but was giving something really cool, I must retry it at some time.

Hello, this is impressive model you have arrived at a result that much more enjoyable and realistic. I am studying the SSS to reach this level as yours. Congratulations!
