Hello all :)
This is my new illustration in the Starcraft World. It is my own vision of it.
Just a girl and her exo-suit, and some beast.
I'v done it in Photoshop.
All critique is welcome.

Very cool painting! I love the creatures and ground treatment. I am just not sure about the lighting on the main character and robot. It feels like the lighting is coming from everywhere, it would be nice to have a stronger key light with more obvious shadows, to get more contrast.
great work though:thumbsup:

OK, a few thoughts. I'd lighten the mech up a bit as dark colors aren't very military looking these days as well as it tends to crush you lighting down and limits your values.
Design wise, I'd look up a bit more reference on things like tanks and transport helicopters to get some of your design shapes from. I've attached a quick paint over that might help you out a bit. Also try not to make things look like faces on robots, it helps to keep the design convincing. There are a few critical pieces missing from the mech itself like a control system and HUD for the pilot to interface with.
Can you tell me the original image size and the version of Photoshop that you are using? There are tricks that you can do to get a bit more detail out of an image. One of them is to select an area of th painting and copy it into a new file, res it up, paint it, and paste it back into your original painting. Also don't be afraid to use your sharpen brush (under the blur tool) to get more bite out of your panel lines.
Overall nice piece. Needs a bit of finessing, but the general idea is there. Keep up the good work and keep posting! Your images are always fun for me to look at!
