This is a character I'm working on to put in a simple environment. I plan to optimize the whole scene as a low poly asset (thanks Pascal ) to put in my showreel.
Any C&C is more than welcome. :)

Hey ianucci, interesting concept, and quite original :) I like your style.
For the "asset" thing, I have tweaked the forum settings, it should work now.
also you can include your attachments within your post so the pictures show up.
Here is how:

Thanks Pascal, a friend of mine came up with and drew the concept as I was trying to come up with something interesting to put in this lab environment I had started working on.
I'm slightly struggling with balancing a cartoony/whimsical look with a measure of anatomical reality.

Cool stuff! I would probably add more forms in the eyebows, it looks like the bone structure is more pronounced in the artwork. Same for the fingers, I guess you could go totally smoothed/stylized or go more detailed with bone structure and anatomical details. Right now it looks like you have a bit of bones structure but not enough to be consistent with the overall style. You probably need to make a style choice here :)
Cheers!

Still working on this on and off. I finished the sculpting (although I did some more work on the thumbs which i lost thanks to a corrupt mud file :banghead:) and have laid down some quick colouring on the creature. I've been working on the environment a bit more, probably try and finish that before I return to texturing the creature.
Please excuse the odd black areas around some UV seams, I altered the UVs a little.

Haha Seb, I tried to make him look a little sad/anxious because of vicious brocollivores like yourself!
Thanks for the encouragement Oglu, I appreciate it, always really enjoy your work.

Necrobump! I finished this piece, below are some real time renders in marmoset and of the hires character in mudbox. I'm calling this done but I would welcome c&c, there are a number of problems I have with it but I need to move on now. Learnt a lot from it at least.

Hey man, I really liked this dude.
You should do some more on it! Set up a nice skin shader for him, I think you could get some really kick *** results.
I also liked the more pronounced brow like in the concept drawing .. made him look like a sad broccoli monster. Like he isn't sure why the hell he looks like a marshmallow with broccoli on his back.
Nice !

I like that Mister Broccoli. I wanted to say that there was something in the concept that didn't made it yet into the model and saw what I wanted to write into tingles last comment :)
I'm not sure I would have used "Sad", maybe "Evil" broccoli head though :)

Many thanks for the comments guys. Concerning the brow, I thought he looked a bit evil as you say Kel, and wanted him to look more sad than evil. If I can find some more time for him I will see if I can make the brow more defined, but sad not evil haha.
I'd like to try rendering him with mental ray Tingles, I need to learn it first though haha, so that's another thing I'll put on the to do list.
