This is a character I'm working on to put in a simple environment. I plan to optimize the whole scene as a low poly asset (thanks Pascal ) to put in my showreel.

Any C&C is more than welcome. :)

Hey ianucci, interesting concept, and quite original :) I like your style.

For the "asset" thing, I have tweaked the forum settings, it should work now.

also you can include your attachments within your post so the pictures show up.

Here is how:

Thanks Pascal, a friend of mine came up with and drew the concept as I was trying to come up with something interesting to put in this lab environment I had started working on.

I'm slightly struggling with balancing a cartoony/whimsical look with a measure of anatomical reality.

Cool stuff! I would probably add more forms in the eyebows, it looks like the bone structure is more pronounced in the artwork. Same for the fingers, I guess you could go totally smoothed/stylized or go more detailed with bone structure and anatomical details. Right now it looks like you have a bit of bones structure but not enough to be consistent with the overall style. You probably need to make a style choice here :)
Cheers!

Still working on this on and off. I finished the sculpting (although I did some more work on the thumbs which i lost thanks to a corrupt mud file :banghead:) and have laid down some quick colouring on the creature. I've been working on the environment a bit more, probably try and finish that before I return to texturing the creature.

Please excuse the odd black areas around some UV seams, I altered the UVs a little.

Haha Seb, I tried to make him look a little sad/anxious because of vicious brocollivores like yourself!

Thanks for the encouragement Oglu, I appreciate it, always really enjoy your work.
