Anybody used this CATIA program? The videos are blowing my mind. Supposedly its used in the aerospace industry, I heard very versatile.

Looks great! I hope you can turn off the ground reflection when working on bigger models ;) Nice and clean:beerchug:

World Leader in industrial modeling : Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, SNECMA, Airbus, Eurocopter ,us navy Toyota, Honda,Porsche, Audi.......!!
I've done a commercial for them 3 years ago, the last version is veeery powerfull . Perfect shapes !
appears to be perfect for clean technical shapes, pretty awesome stuff, anybody knows a price of the latest version and also how the geometry looks when you export it from there to a 3dapp such as max/maya/xsi?

That looks incredibly well streamlined. How much does it cost?
EDIT: U.S. $12k? Really? In the league of Pro-e, perhaps? Maybe I'll stick with MoI for now... :-)

sooo cool! 12k is crazy though! but I guess that's the price for most highend things back in the day. Curious what the student edition runs for?

1 000 000 (!) for the big complete (for industry of course)

sleek software - even looks like an aeronautic company thing so clean and shiny lol... obviously they're not concerned with the mesh here at all - just the shapes but the tools look really versatile and powerful and I like the real time rendering aspect.

Looks really powerful, design tools have come a long way since I last played around in PTC ProEngineer. Using them for actual 0.00001mm construction items, exact alignments, clearances I think would be a lot slower than as demonstrated doing a very pretty product concept. These sort of price is not for hobbyist, but industrial design, sure why not. You just have to drool over some of the smooth artwork from these.
