View Full Version : Smooth shading in Zbrush

I just a quick tip video as a test to see how my video and mic setup holds up for my Hitchcock tutorial/lecture.

It might be a little simplistic but i thought i might aswell pot it here in case some of you guys using Zbrush might not know or have forgotten this feature doesn't exist.

Still it'd be nice to have a quick smoothed normals render . I mean this seems to create a subd version of the mesh, therefore affecting the mesh contours and slower render.

Thats a cool tip. I never knew that. I always wondered if zbrush had a smooth normals. Thanks.

yeah! great trick, andrew.

didn't know that either. hehe
but like like pascal said, it sure would be nice to have a real smooth normals render. instead of their pseudo-semi-halfway approaches.
