Greetings folks,

These are a couple of conceptual renditions based on 'I, Frankenstein' that I completed recently. I'm ready to move on to newer, more exciting things, but I wanted to throw this out into the community before retiring it. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated!

Softimage, ZBrush, Photoshop

:welcome:Chris!
Cool style, I like his face :)
I think the clothing wrinkles don't work so well especially on the second shot, on the shoulders area. They look deformed, I'd go back to the clothing wrinkles in general, and maybe add more texturing details as well (although it maybe a cartonnish style choice).

Keep it up:thumbsup:

@PascalR,

I agree, and the wrinkles were the most challenging part for me. I did a few different attempts but they always ended up looking too smooth. The detail looked fine to me in Zbrush, but I think some of that detail got lost in translation to disp/normal map, which is something I haven't quite figured out yet.

Hey Chris! Glad someone else from Magnetic finally joined up! Maybe we'll get Jeff in here soon!

If you're looking for feedback, be sure to ask for it if you post it in the Finished Works section. Otherwise I'd post this in the WIP - 3D section. Maybe Pascal can move the thread for you?

In addition to what Pascal said, the renders seem a little on the "painted" side. Hard to tell what's original 3D and touched up in PS.

Since I have the benefit of knowing the project behind this, I can say that it looks pretty much like the artwork. Maybe you could post some of your reference for the rest of the folks here?

Sure thing, let me know if you're planning on working more on it and I'll move it to the WIP section, no worries :)
