Thought I'd share these Crysis 2 screenshots with everyone here. I actually suspect these to be real screenshots.

Man, I hope these are real screens because it would mean a whole new level to real-time graphics.

I was taken aback a bit by how far real-tiime rendering has come in the last year. I thought that the tech really kind of tapped out but was happily surprised to see that it's still growing and people are discovering new ways of making things look better and run faster. That character in the end kind of shocked me.

Here are links to some of their tech demos. Maybe you guys at weta might be interested in playing around with this as they ship the engine with every game.

Check out the features section here as well as anything marked with GDC. I love their Jungle brush where you can paint jungles everywhere and the road tool! LOL

And this is the latest iteration of their engine with rain and dynamic detail shaders that obey normals and all procedural shattering.
