nice - lots of character in that face - I really love it when people concentrate on this rather than adding more pores... looking forward to more:drool:

Agree with Mag, awesome forms. Great to see your work.
Great to see new work from you Stephane! I particularly like the old guy, like Mag said, he's full of character.

thanks everyone for the comments
I'm glad you liked these, I'm never too sure about my own stuff when its fresh :)
intervain, I'm glad you say this as I feel detailing is often overated, it is very superficial to me. your stuff is great by the way!
there's actually so many talented people here its a bit indimitading :)
should have some free time soon to update this
cheers

Nice, eyelashes are interesting, wondering where you are going with those?

thanks
actually the eyelashes volume is just a quick dirty sketch to give an indication of the expression, just a sculpting layer I will delete later ;)

Did you come from a traditional sculpting background? Your works are so simple yet so amazingly expressive! Would love to see some of the wires and screens!

thank you!
nghia: I had no artistic training before I started 3D but I think digital sculpting softs we have now are clearly bluring the line from traditional/digital sculptors, it is now just a matter of approach in my opinion.
I am trying to approach digital figurative work no different than a traditional sculptor would do, learning about rhythm and forms rather than just trying to have the right volume at the right place like I think I used to do before sculpting softwares came out. such a long way to go :)
still I got interested in traditional sculpture lately, I may post some works here as well later.
as for the wireframe, I didn't pay much attention to the topology as it was just a sculpting study, so it is not very interesting there really

Brett
thank you, I am not sure of it in hindsight, but well its a sketchbook
glad you liked the model :)
hey tony
thank you for the feedback, the idea of these sketches was to keep it rough but I must admit I have been unreasonably lazy with those hands :)
I may come back to it later
you're a busy man now but I hope to see some new stuff from you on occasion :)
