Hi Simona,
I found them quite cool! Great atmosphere :)
I think the Snowscape one could use something entering the frame in the left part of the image, it would add a lot of dynamism, could be a ballon, zeppelin, spaceship, creature, whatever helps, otherwise its easy to read and the depth planes work well
The castle one is a bit less successful although it's great, the mountains in the background are crushing the foreground because of their contrast and highlights, making it hard to read the depth planes. Ohh and the small center great wall is a bit too much red to be integrated properly :)
Great to see you back!

Hi
thank you for the advices you gave me, about the Snowscape you are right, actually at first i tried adding a man figure but as i told,it took me so much time to finish it that i wasn't quite sure of what was going wrong in the image, i felt the lack of something but as you surely knows sometimes when you goes looking over and over to the same image it's very hard to find out the problem.
About the castle, i agree, it's hard to read the depth but at the same time i wanted the snow peaks to be visible so i didnt' force it too much. Surely i could make some adjustments now that you made me focus on these problems, in fact this it the purpose of posting in this forum!!
Thanks again for feedback.

Hey Simona,
I do agree with Thomas' comments, also I think the factory is out of scale in the first painting to me, it feels quite big relatively to the mountains, I would have made it smaller or closer to camera if you wanted it this big in the frame. My note on the other matte painting would be that the mountain range feels flat lighting wise. I wonder if it would help to introduce some perspective to the mountains to get more light/shadows variations similar to the castle and middle ground hill. I'd rahter see the range fading away into the distance/fog with some shadowed areas.
Great works though, I edited your post so the images display bigger.
cheers!
