Hi everybody!
I´m new to this forum. So first of all I want to say hello to the community. There is some great talent here on board !!
I´ve started this "guy" a few month ago for a sculpting challenge and decided to work on it again.
Here are some screenshots out of zbrush and a first test render.
Any kind of feedback is welcome :)

:welcome:Manuel!
Cool creature, the face looks kind of cute although the zerg like body agressive shapes suggest this is a rather deadly creature.
The lower jaw profile bothers me a bit, it looks straight/angular, especially compared to the rounder upper lip shapes. I would also straighten the neck muscle a little bit.
Cool stuff:beerchug:

Thank you guys! Yes, amongst others, the zergs and also the alien queen was one of my inspirations for this creature.
Still not sure, if the design really works. I will keep your suggestions in my mind, for the next wip.

Thanks Intervain. :)
Btw, here is the basemesh. It´s very low, good enough for the sculpting. But I may do another retopo for a proper uv layout later.
I would like to hear a few suggestions to improve the design.

Hey Manuel I really like elements of your creature but I think as a complete design it is not quite working as well as it could at the moment.
The frill is too reminiscent of the alien queen for my liking, that is the first thing I would alter. I also think you need to get clear in your mind what sort of creature this is, its anatomy seems a bit disparate to me, like he is part insect, part mammal, part reptile. The mouth doesn't look very functional to me me, its kind of beak-like but looks soft.
Look forward to see how you further develop this guy. :)

Thanks for the feedback ianucci. I must admit, it´s a pretty wild mixture of several creatures. Maybe I went a little bit to far with it. I think I´ll leave it as it is and concentrate on a new project.
