Pretty nice Billabong, great model and render. I would take it for a spin. Maybe inspire me to do some hardsurface for a change.

Cool model! The front grid stands out to much imho, it's just too bright and I know it's supposed to look perfect but still I would add some micro dents/scratches here and there (especially at the bottom)
Cool car indeed :)

yes that grid under the headlight just seems a bit bright to me. But I'll let John give you his notes on this , as you seem happy to get some :)
Cheers!

Dont get my wrong, what you have done is great , but if you are aiming for 100% photo real, then i would say we are maybe 90% there.
I have just highlight areas on your model which you should closely compare to the real car.
This may seems like i am being super picky, but its no different to how the creature guys look at muscles and form.

Some of the main things that CG cars can suffer from is that all the panel lines are the same thickness, if you look at the real one you can see the bumper line is different to the bonnet line.
Down the side of the car there should be two hard lines that flow from the bumper line, this can be seen alot better in the pic of the wing mirror
The radius on the intakes on the front bumper are to tight, the real car is quite a bit softer.
The door handles are to flat, they have a slight bump to them
Alot of the extra bits and pieces on the panel work are missing, fuel cap, indicators, ferrari badge on the side wing, two small section that are on the front bumper below the lights.
The scoop under the front bumper seems to be more spereated and thinner on the real car.
The tires need to bulge out more towards the wheel, as if they aer sitting on the rim not blending with the rim.
495
The wheels look great, there is just a proportion issue with them, there is too much metal on the inside of the wheel, check out the real pic of the wheel, It makes them look heavy (even though they are) they shouldn't look heavy
Brake discs are far to small and in the wrong place for that car
Look closely at the panel line of the door, where it meets the bottom of the car, notice how all the edges are slightly soft, this will help to create the manufactured look.
494
The areas around the windows and where there are rubber seals, need to be alot bigger.
The support bracket for the wing mirror is to flat, the real one have a bit more volume to it.
This car could easily be taken to the next level, personally I think the hardest thing alot of people suffer with when making cars is the main body work and the proportions on it, And yours looks great, Once you have that its only time to add the small details here and there.

This may be the best feedback I have ever gotten, ever.
John, thanks so much for explaining all that. Very few people take the time give really good feedback. So I just want you to know that it is appreciated.
I see exactly what your saying. There are a good bit of details that were missed on my model, honestly most of the time, the parts I skipped were things I just didn't think people would notice if it was there or not. so in my impatience, decided to leave them out. Just for the record, you were the first one to really point these things out.
One thing I did want to point out real quick was the rim part. I didn't actually use the rim on the stock Ferrari. I chose my own, which I attached an image of.To me it just fit the car better.
Most of things you did point out are pretty quick fixes and doesnt seem like a whole remodel. So I will take the time to fix these.
I need to finsh the tank first. basically because its eating away at me. Once its done, i will start back on the Ferrari.
Once again John, Thank you

I assumed you have picked another design for the wheel, it must be the tire on the wheel giving the weird proportions, maybe once you update the tire to sit on the wheel more like the Ferrari tire it will fix the proportion problem
I totally understand why you would leave these extra details out. I was treating it as a cg supervisor would treat it for any film.
All in all your model is looking great, looking forward to see the updates when you have time.

I was treating it as a cg supervisor would treat it for any film.
Which is exactly what I need, if I'm ever going to try and make it to film.
Thanks John
