Hi!

Tbh im quite new to this linear workflow thing so im not entirely sure what im doing, anyway! my question is:

How do I get the batch render to render out what I see in the renderview?

pobably you using gamma 2.2 so when you save image write 2.2 in settings of format file

I strongly recommend keeping it it linear. But make sure you render it out as a 16-bit (half float) EXR with pzip compression. 32-bit is largely unnecessary, as 16-bit already gives you over 30 stops of exposure.

Then open up a modern composting app, say Toxik as it comes included with Maya, make sure your viewer is has a 2.2 gamma correction on it, and do any exposure and color grading in there. You just saved yourself hours of render time if you relied on the rendering engine for those tweaks, and given yourself a far more flexible environment to make these type of changes than Photoshop.
