What's Cooking?

Hey guys!
This is my first post here and i present my latest work. Someone who loves to be alone, is cooking food in that room at the back end of the ship. I tried to show the reason why he lives alone on this ship.
This time i went with rather low saturated colors so that the colors do not override the feel but silently enhance it. So i would love to hear if i succeeded in portraying what i intended!!
I used 3ds Max, Vray, Photoshop, zbrush, Uvlayout, Vue and fumefx for the image!

Great mood here, I like your image! Some small things that makes it look a bit small (like a model rather than a real size boat) is the size of the floor boards (they look too big to me) the gap between those boards, and the fact that look round. Also the dof is a bit strong on the bg which contributes to the small size effect to me.

I think the water makes the boat look smaller then it should do you could maybe raise the boat up or scale the size of the water?

Also the bottom left corner needs like a net or something hanging over the side so it will fill that plane gap where you can see the water.

And the bird looks like its photoshoped in maybe tidy that up?

the texture on the stand that holds the wheel looks quite flat maybe add some displacement with it been close up?

hey thanks buddy for pointing out the small scale. i intentionally made it rather smaller ship so that it adds to the cozy and small home type feeling of the boat!, when i was modeling it! and i was testing scale!, i tried a little bit bigger scale but then it was hard for me to imagine that this big a ship can be a home to some lonely person!. i thought that it would start looking deserted rather than small and kinda sweet. but considering that i have never been to any boat/ship in my life!, i think that your kind feedback is very right!. and I'll have to agree with the DOF problem too!

i really love this suggestion. No really!. when i first read this suggestion and pictured it my mind. i said to myself "man why didn't it came to my mind?"

yeah the bird is photoshoped!, i'll fix that and other problems also as soon as possible!

I'll try to fix the problems you mentioned and make an update of this!
