New version 6: http://www.meshmixer.com/download.html

0) Tweaked brush strengths, pen-pressure response curve. I want to know if it is strong enough now....
- ctrl+wheel changes brush size, too
1) light sphere materials. Click on the little sphere in the top-left (beside the little head). You have to *DRAG MATERIALS ONTO MODEL* to switch. Not just click.
- Right click to import your own light spheres images
- SEND ME MORE LIGHT SPHERES. Please make sure they are your own work, so I can include them in the installer.
2) UI hotkey tweaks (hotkeys shown in some places, like "Accept/a", and there are more hotkeys. Some don't actually work yet. Sorry.)
3) Smooth Boundary moved to Modify Selection menu
4) Selections preserved after some operations (not all yet, though)
5) new Transform Faces tool (under Deform menu...)
- kinda like Extrude++ right now. Don't use with areas containing a boundary (yet)
6) maybe some other things (for you to find...)

- SurfaceBrush w/ support for custom stamp textures
- VolumeBrush is actually a sphere, not a surface region, so it cannot be textured. Hence, SurfaceBrush, which does much the same thing in many cases, but *can* be textured
- SurfaceBrush has a new stamp/falloff type, 'Constant', which will simply copy selected Texture. Otherwise Texture is multiplied by stamp/falloff.
- Preliminary implementation, you will need to play w/ settings if your brush texture has small details (and even then it won't work so hot until I get stamp-spacing controls in....)
- A few basic textures are included. Send me more.
- SymSnap option for VolumeBrush, causes brush position to be snapped to surface (for doing symmetry on somewhat asymmetric objects)
- based on suggestion from jim here: http://meshmixer.com/forum/index.php?topic=355.30
- Volumetric option for VolumeBrush. This prevents brush from affecting disconnected regions contained in brush sphere. Sort of. Mostly only really useful in close-contact situations...
- Extrude now supported on boundaries (but not very well) However, Extruding an entire open mesh produces a Shell.
- restore-defaults for brush settings (click on the headers for the different sections in the Properties bar)
- mesh import now gives option to append to current mesh instead of replacing (note: scale is not preserved!)
- shaders simplified, might work better now on older machines (delete your .ini and try running twice...)
- larger material library included (thanks jim!)
- misc other fixes and things

I hope that this new purchase by autodesk is just one step forward to a mudbox implementation. fingers cross

I keep dreaming about having dynamic tessellation tools in Mudbox. Would be simply amazing for concept sculpting.

meshmixer07 update 3 (http://meshmixer.com/forum/index.php?topic=514.0)

It's getting more and more powerful :) great tool! This kind of stuff should be implemented into mudbox. It would really speed up the creative flow.
