hi
me too ! me too ! I want to try 3d coat , awsome ! Here is my first test , wax-candle effect ...
Question : i've done "export" (direct) to get the full mesh , is it possible to optimise it a bit without using the quadrangulate tool ?

Very cool candle effect. I'm gonna have to try 3DCoat also. Good job.

Hey Tomaya,very cool model and render.
Did you start from scratch or did you import a model to start with?

I asked the same question on the 3dcoat forum, and someone replied this to me:


"On xport using build 3.1.18 and upward there is polygon reduction that is very easy to use

that's cool !
I've imported the model first then i've updated the voxels just one level , the resolution is really great , 7.5 M polys at the export ,very nice for sss cause it's a perfect closed mesh , good tool ...

this is looking really cool, great effect. cool sculpting and the SSS really adds to the effect, nice work

Outstanding work. Can you share the material you used in 3d coat? I've just now started with 3d coat.

Agree with you intervain ! the last one is ... let's say the most interesting , so StormRising , this is not 3d coat materials !!! (don't you say!) the last one is a Maxwell render , and the others , Vray SSS2 ...:o
