hahahah.. i really really love this one too. i remember seeing one of the previous trailers and thought "wow! i gotta see that".
fantastic work. the characters have the feel and characteristics similar to the creatures in "blacksad" comic. they feel very good casted for their roles.

really looking forward to see it.

i'm the second one that don't like the Design So much,its great in all aspect but honestly i have not that "wow" moment usually when see the work of ILM..........:thumbsup:

Between this and the Goon, it's great to see some interesting and unique looking animated features. I think the thing I like the most about the character design is it doesn't look like anything else I've seen. I also dig the real surface treatment over exaggerated shapes. Go Rango!

This is amazing ! i think we usually see 2 or maybe 3 kind of style for this kind oh cg toons, the most common is the pixar / PDI style with very somooth shaded characters and no such displacement / bump texured like in this one , the lightning is never oversturated and the enviroment aren't too realistic like here in my opinion, the thing i dig in this one is the realistic shading / enviroment and the big effort done on hair / fur fx things ! the animation has somthing diffrent too .

Very unique and different take on cg characters. I can not wait for this movie it just looks amazing. I'm just scared to see a lot of kid jokes during the movie.

My question is how much of a roll does Nickelodeon play? Do they do concepts and story boarding and then ILM does everything else, like ILM is just being contracted by Nick? Be interesting to know how thats working.

This has been a fun project, I am glad you guys liked it. One of my contributions was the lizard whose face is on fire in the bar sequence. I did the model and facial for him. Patrick Gagne worked on the displacement side.
